8a - Homework w. 48

Day 106:Zombie VHSFor Thursday w. 48 your homework is to prepare yourself for class by going through all the words for the text "The Wrong Video".

When you work with the words, please focus on the meaning of them. The purpose of this homework is to make you understand the text better when we listen to it in class on Thursday.

You won't be getting a homework test on the words, but we'll work with the text and the words in a way by which I'll see if you understand the words and the text.

You find the words in Glosmaskinen, but I've also made an exercise for you on Spellic.
On Spellic the username is emman651 and the password is oppeby.

Go through all the words AT LEAST five times!

Enjoy!

En 8a - South Africa

South Africa Wildlife ConservationHere are the links to your presentations:

Remember to also learn about rugby, from the document you all worked on!

The assigment for next Thursday (w. 47) is to learn about South Africa, from your notes and the presentations, so that you can describe South Africa and also compare South Africa and Sweden.

This is what I want you to show me:

E:
Eleven diskuterar översiktligt några företeelser i olika sammanhang och områden där engelska används, och kan då också göra enkla jämförelser med egna erfarenheter och kunskaper.

C:
Eleven diskuterar utförligt några företeelser i olika sammanhang och områden där engelska används, och kan då också göra välutvecklade jämförelser med egna erfarenheter och kunskaper.

A:
Eleven diskuterar utförligt och nyanserat några företeelser i olika sammanhang och områden där engelska används, och kan då också göra välutvecklade och nyanserade jämförelser med egna erfarenheter och kunskaper.

Wales V South Africa 2010

That means you, aside from learning about South Africa, also need to think about what you know about Sweden and maybe find relevant information so that you can make a good comparison.

Good luck and enjoy!

En 9abc - Grammar

"Grammar is important because it is the language that makes it possible for us to talk about language."

- Richard Nordquist

Now that you've written a couple of texts we're going to start looking in to how you can improve them even further, starting with improving your knowledge of grammar. When you know grammar you know how to talk about the language and that makes it easier for you to understand your mistakes and learn from them.

There are a couple of elements that most you need to become even more aware of:
  • relative pronouns
  • prepositions
  • verb tenses
  • adjectives and adverbs
